Abrar Hashmi (CGP)
Shah Latif Cultural Institute of Texas (SLCIT) organized a farewell function in the honor of Abrar Hashmi Consul General of Pakistan, Texas. The ceremony started with the recitation of Holy Quran, after which President Liaquat Ali Khawaja introduced Shah Latif Cultural Institute of Texas. On this occasion Shabbir Jatoi, Member of the Board of Directors, presented a summary of Abrar Hashmi's life and professional career. In the ceremony, Abrar Hashmi and his family were called on the stage and honored with Sindh's Traditional Gift Ajrak.
On this occasion, the special guest of the event, Consul General Pakistan Abrar Hashmi, expressed his views and said that Shah Latif Cultural Institute of Texas is providing better services to its community, which is a matter of pride. On this occasion, Abrar Hashmi thanked the colleagues of Texas and guests of ceremony. At the event, Counsul General Abrar Hashmi was presented with a certificate for his services by the Shah Latif Cultural Institute of Texas.
Texas State Representative Jacey Jetton addressed the event live and thanked Abrar Hashmi for his services and presented the Proclamation Certificate as State of Texas Representative, which Mehmood Dahri presented to Abrar Hashmi in Jacey Jetton’s absence. In the ceremony, the newly elected board of directors of Shah Latif Cultural Institute of Texas also took oath. In which the Board of Directors took oath for the next two years which was read out by Consul General Abrar Hashmi. On this occasion Honorary Consul General of Bangladesh Marty McVey, Jay Gurrero Director Senetor John Carlon State of Texas & Albert Cheng Director Memorial Herman addressed the event and thanked the Shah Latif Cultural Institute of Texas.
At the end of the event, Chairman Mehmood Dahri gave a speech and paid tribute to Abrar Hashmi for his services to the community. And also thanked the honorable guests. A large number of officials of political, social, cultural organizations and local politicians participated in the event. The ceremony was moderated by Asad Ali Shaikh, Member of the Board of Directors of Shah Latif Cultural Institute of Texas.
